It literally brings tears to my eyes to see how far and how fast our nation is falling. I urge any and all of you who may see this to stop being an audience. Stop being on the sidelines. Stop wallowing in your complacency and apathy. Our once great nation is not yet lost, but it will be if we do nothing.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” ~ Edmund Burke.
Prayer, my brothers and sisters, is our greatest weapon. James 5:16 tells us that, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” God WILL respond to our prayer. But we must pray. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). We must cease walking in our “blissful ignorance.” The stakes are too high. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye any longer. People’s lives, and more importantly their souls are what is at stake here, and I for one, REFUSE to be one of those who simply stands idly by and lets evil run rampant, unchecked. The real question is what will YOU do. Will you stand by while thousands of Christians are dying? Will you stand by as the United States is overrun by greed, violence, and anarchy? Will you stand by as those in the White House degrade everything our nation stands for?
Am I saying we all need to become political activists? No. I am saying we all need to fall to our knees and pray, and seek our Heavenly Father. We need to first of all, walk righteously, and forsake all the sin and distractions that beset us every day in our “civilized” society. Once that is done, then we must look outward. Turn away from ourselves and our problems, to those around us. Our “neighbor” as Jesus described it is everyone. Therefore, our concerns must be for everyone, even those who are evil.
Prayer, as I said, is our greatest weapon. It is a blade with which we are able to wage war against Satan and all his powers, principalities, and wickedness in the air. We must rise up, people of God! We are either with God, or against Him (Matthew 12:30). There is no middle ground. For those of you who are riding the fence, who go to church on Sunday, and “talk the talk,” but fail to “walk the walk,” beware. The Lord is merciful, but His mercy on goes on so long. Revelation 3:15-17 says this, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Our Father is wonderful in His mercy and grace, but He is also Holy beyond anything we could ever comprehend. Therefore, we should look on our spiritual ambivalence with fear and trembling.
Please watch the video in the link below. If your heart does not weep inside of you, then cry out to the Lord to bring you to a place where you can care more for others than yourself. Wake up from your narcissistic introversion, and see the needs of others. Then, DO something about it.
“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in hose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
~ Joshua 24:15
Whom will you serve?
