Do you we truly even know what it means to love our enemies? For most of us, I don’t think we have a clue. To look into the eyes of the liar, the betrayer, the ravager, the murderer, or the abuser and to say, “I love you” despite all of their sins against you? To reach out and say, “I forgive you” instead of lashing out in revenge? That is what we are to do. Let’s take a lesson from our long history of ultimate sacrifice. Beginning with Jesus all the way to now, we are to walk in love just exactly as He did. So, even to the monsters and great men of greater evil, we must also love them.
