  1. Thanks, this really matches up to what I’m living in the last weeks. It’s not always easy to forgive someone who’s envious and atthe same time he/she is a friend of yours. I’d like to share a beautiful thought of the famous russian writer Ivan Turgenev:
    “To desire and expect nothing for oneself and to have profound sympathy for others is genuine holiness”

    • Indeed the spectrum of “enemy” is wide, and there seem to be no end to the opportunities we have to grow in this area. Obviously, Jesus exemplified this for us in an incredibly powerful way when He died on the cross. Likewise, we too should be willing to lay our lives down, not for those we love, but for those who hate us. That is quite a different level of love. A challenge we are only able to meet by the power of the Holy Spirit. Blessings, my sister.
